Default Yet another silver blob

Hi All!

I'm new to this site and new to Subaru ownership. I've come from VW 6 pots to this..and as much as I love the noise of V6's I needed some boost in my life. Always had a soft spot for Impreza's (mainly due to the sound) and I've come close to buying a wrx previously, but held out until I could afford an Sti

Anyway I've purchased an 04 widetrack blob PPP with 57k on the clock. I've pretty much instantly fallen in love with the car and it seems like a brilliant canvas to start with.

Going to take me a while to figure out where i'm going with this car, but the immediate plans are to get it near on show room condition, so sort the few stone chips, refurb wheels and tidy up a couple other things. It's by no means in bad condition but i'm quite particular about my motors. It's booked in at zen end of the month for a service and health check just to make sure everything is in order.

Thanks for reading

Thread revival!! 23 thousand miles later and relatively trouble free motoring (except losing an arb bolt and getting through 2 oem radiators.

Last year car went in for handling pack with scoobyworld which included front and rear whitline arb's, bc coilovers, cdf droplinks, anti lift kit and rear camber adjusting bolts. Lowered 35mm

Fitted a used blitz nur spec "S" back box as the prodrive one had sprung a leak. Also fitted godspeed discs all round with orange stuff pads.

Fitted a set of 2011 sti wheels I picked up off a member on here. Will upload a picture of the car "as it stands" but not much changed in the looks department.

couple of pics of when I did the brakes. Also view from the front after it was lowered and the WR1 style grill removed. Not sure if it was genuine or not

and after being able to save some cash to go towards some power mods the following have started to trickle in the last few weeks...rcm headers and harvey up pipe, rcm 850cc injectors, SWRD 3 port boost solenoid, stage 2 competition clutch and lightened flywheel.

Currently awaiting delivery of a samco turbo inlet hose, mishimoto rad and mishimoto front mount intercooler kit.Except for the clutch, i'm planning on fitting all these bits myself in the hope to keep costs down a bit but to also learn a bit more on the car.

Got a few more bits to order but that's as far as the budget will allow me to go for now. Main bits left to get are:

*MD321t billet
*FPR
*forge recirc valve
*RCM fuel pump

Hopefully wont be another 2 years before I post again.

One started leaking where the ally meets the plastic and the second snapped a plastic nipple when a hose was pulled off. So I've got a mishimoto rad waiting to go on now as I seem to have bad luck with the stock ones haha
