Default start of repair in progress

hi guys
in march my car was damaged and written off because of non economical repair to put the cost into perspective £5400 approx quoted for garage repair
well one of the members on here cuprajake said no way the car could be saved so took along had a view and well pleased car gna get repaired , so i am still waiting for payment and got a audi tts quattro as a hire car by the way costs for this stand at £3900
so the progress begins

1= widetrack bumper + arches
1=rear right hand side quater
1=intercooler bootle
1=rear slam panel
1=rear driver side lamp

and extra 1= side skirts twisty style

all courtesy of scoobyspares thanks scot

damage at time of accident




well heres the start and shocked to see its had a repair already you can see above the light area








well the parts arrived and half a car came lol



chop out began



new part to go in place



trial fit




and grinding back for the weld


will post up more unless jake does before me

That looks like a quality repair job your doing there. No messing about trying to repair it like some people would.

Been going down to Jakes quite regular & seen the progress unfold, Its a cracking repair & good to know its been done properly & the Scoob will live to see another day

Glad we could save her

While fitting used 1/4 isn't something we like to do. Sometime cost dictates what you do.

All in all she's come out well. Even had a quick machine polish and wax to revive the rest of the body
