Default my v5 project

orignally i was not going to do anything with the car. but now since its off the road ...thought i might aswell make a mini project out of it.
currently state is
everything is off the car, eng, rad, turbo, intercooler etc... and complete suspension.
once i manage to rebuild my engine then the modding will start. yes it has also got age related rust which is also going to get a once over. maybe new rear quaters or just a repair... will cross that bridge once i get to it. 1st things 1st. get the engine running and back in. for that i am currently on the look out for some standard pistons as 2 of mine have got peices missing . dont know how that happened.
pics will follow soon

hi

just some advice needed. i have been offered a v1 complete eng. but i am not sure if the block would fit my v5 heads? or will the whole engine go straight in?
eng code is EJ20GDW1HE i am pretty sure its a closed deck.

any advice would be appreciated

...i think the closed deck engine is only 240 bhp...would the block still produce the same even with v5 head?

As far as I am aware yes, I have a CDB and will be fitting Version 4 heads. To make sure though whack up a thread in general technical as loads of experts frequent that section.

All the blocks are interchangable so yes you can get the CDB and stick your heads on it. You will just need the correct thickness headgasket to get the compression ratio correct and clearance.
