Default project track car/race car

hi guys just thought i would post up my new project. my aim is to build a track car on a budget but also try to build it to take part in the gt300 class of the nippon challenge. Here is a few pics of the car that i have just picked
Ive never written up projects in the past but this time i thought i better. The car is a 1992/93 import wrx whish has a closed deck block which will be handy for future building atm gonnna run it standard then when goes wrong possibly go down the 2.1 line

Right todays tasks were to remove all un necessary bits of interior all removed and next to come is to get rid of the horrible sound deadening which is going to be a pain in the *** any ideas on best way to get rid of it? I was thinking heat it up with a heat gun and scrape it off with paint scraper.
