well good luck, odd choice for a start car,as everything will need upgrading and cost a lot of money. i.e. brakes, suspension, gearbox etc but look forward to seeing it finshed.

3.0 litre twin turbo??????
you mean 2.0 litre? wouldnt bother a single turbo impreza is more tunable, unless you have open cheque book to put a svx 3.3 and then bolt twin turbos to it.

I have to lol at the comments, sorry more **** taking. I doubt the the gl shell is any weaker than a wrx shell of the same year. Common sense tells you that if you add more power that you need better brakes , suspension etc.
My advice would be talk to a subaru specialist on the phone rather than listen to some of the fannys on here, at least then if you get criticism it will be constructive and proven

All the best with your project mate

Sounds like a good plan. My first thoughts would be has this been done before? Would the engine just slot in or would there need to be major chassis surgery and is a 1.8 shell strong enough to take a 3l TT?.

I personally wouldnt waste my time, been in the Legacy GTB and hated the twin turbo, it felt so slow and like an automatic. Its defo an improvement over the 1.8gl though which ive also been in, all i can say is ive been in quicker vans so onwards and upwards by the sounds of your plans.

I'd go for a UK turbo mate and spend the rest taking the engine above 300 reliably, then you can say your are being 'different' lol
