well been asked to start a project thread for my 93 wrx trackday build.
the car is being used to promote my old regiments charity 'care for casualties'.
car started as a right chavved up scooby,imported in 2004 and 1 owner since.shame he never looked after it.first was remove all the boost controller/mines ecu etc and full service and belt kit.changed wheels for some nice ray's volks racing forged alloys with tyres a bargain at £150.
new brakes all round and roll bar bushes.was all fine until november when bottom end went.luckily had cdb and what i made for that paid for a new engine.thanks to pete @s/e imprezas for great motor and service.fitted new exedy clutch kit and slave cylinder and all happy.have now started the serious bit and stripping car out.so far all interior out,sound deadening and all the a/c has been removed.next step is cage and plumbed in extinguisher and front seats.car running around 280 at the moment but looking for a safe 300 with ecu/fmic and de-cat.

Paintwork looks mental marcevs72, are you keeping it purely for track or will it be used on the road as well?

 

its vinyl mate.waiting on the rifles graphics to arrive for bonnet,boot and roof.have had to get permission from the army and have got the proper images for the graphics.will be used on both road/track.had a few full on tarmac cars before and always loved the noise etc from a proper stripped out car...plus only 2 seats so can leave the brats at home and have a good blat whenever i want to clear the cobwebs.got some lovely roads around dartmoor where i live.
