my impreza r sport. something different
well thought id show you all my family car. the civic wasnt really practical so got an impreza.
last year i bought my impreza r sport 2006. it came with full leather trim, an official prodrive spoiler, prodrive side skirts and rear splitter. prodrive gear **** and tinted windows. all as standard so was well happy. i wasnt planning on doing anything to this but as time went on so it got modified

i then went to tiptop performance near star city to get a custom made cat back exhaust all s/s done whilst i waited and very cheap and sounded great

i was then totally bloody stupid and went to what i thought was one of the best audio installers in the country l and j audio, well what a mug i was, got totally ripped off and what a **** job they did. i paid 1200 quid for the doors to be trimmed in alacantar and have a full boot build and this is what they did. i supplied all the audio equipment, edge speakers, amps and vibe subs

the build rattled when turned up and when i took it apart i was shocked. the custom built sub box was the same type twin 12 inch box you can buy from motorworld. all as i can say is thanks L AND J for a **** job
i then bought a bonnet scoop as i love the scoops on the bonnet lol

then cut the hole so much fun

i then bought some zun sport front grilles and my new wheels white lenso rs5 18inch

i then decided to rip the ****ty boot build out and went to west mids customs and paid 600 quid to have a proper custom boot build done. fully ported box tuned, led lighting and perspex over the amps

and it sounds awesome. i upgraded the front door speakers to hertz hi energy speakers, tweeters and cross overs. and 2 new mb quart subs which i reverse mounted. i also started to retrim the interior myself

heres some more of the interior and i have to say a huge thank you to my mom for helping me with the sowing and teaching me how to use a sowing machine. i started of with the gear lever and hand brake gaitor

then i went onto the rear doors, all pillers, dash sections and roof lining

then as winter was upon us i took my white 18's off and put my old standard wheels back on but i didnt want then silver so i found some left over hok kandy orange paint from my civic and painted them orange

then over christmas i fitted cusco coilovers with pillow ball top mounts but sadly i think one of the rear top mounts has gone so there being fixed at the min. i will get pictures of the coil overs and when its lowered with camber
also just bought a new backbox ready to be fitted, going to install a plasma plate in the boot install and going to paint a few bits on the dash so its all nice and shiny with lots of lacquer
well started to re do one of the boot trims and mount a plasma plate in there. i took the trim out removed the leather and started to cut a bigger hole

made some brackets

trial fit

well before mod nats my original cusco coilovers collapsed so ordered new ones and slamed the car even more. 100mm on the rear and 80mm on the front

then after mod nats i decided to smooth the rear bumper so there was no more damage. no please remember im a technician not a body shop work or paint sprayer. so heres what i did

my dads wheels came in handy as my new work bench lol

then decided half way through doing the bumper to take the spoiler off and smooth the boot lid

then got my mate to make me a stencil for the back bumper

since i had loads of kandy orange left from the civic i used that on the stencil and it made it come out black with a slight orange sparkle to it

then lacquered

then before i fitted the bumper back on i fitted a new 5 inch performance back box and then fitted the back bumper

Cheers for that, I'll have a look. It's not all to my taste, but then it's not may car - it's just good to see people willing to get their hands dirty and achieve their goals
fair play for all the time and effort you have put in. some nice ideas and some not to keen on but all that matters is that u likes what you have achieved. sounds like you are based in the west mids area?? may see you at some west mids impreza meets in the near future.
