Special thanks must go to Richard at FB Tuning who built the engine and helped me throughout, his dog Tyler because it never bit me (its really a lovely dog), and Bob Rawle who is without doubt amongst the best mappers in the business. Two really top class guys and both highly recommended.
Couple of other pics - amazing how they all look the same (apart from the rubbish on my garage floor)

Yes its turned into a really good road car to drive. Its very drivable at low revs which was a bit of a concern with those cams but picks up very quickly for a lardy newage as you may expect with that torque curve.
I've entered the RAF Marham 30-130 event which will probably be the best test I can give it without stressing the transmission too the extreme.

Just wouldn't take anymore boost on the dyno. On the road the boost target is set at 1.8bar and it holds it fine. Bit strange I have to agree and I intend to give Charlie a ring and run it up again just to see what it does. Bob's remote 'in car' boost gauge was reading over 1.6bar.
Also looking forward to meeting up with you and the rest of the 22b crowd.

The top lines are the bhp and relate to the left hand scale and the lower lines for the boost scale on the right.

**** me, what a spec! Must be on the road.

PS
We can catch up at Marham as I'll be there too (so long as FBT can sort the boost level & crazy miss-fire in time )

Fred for me it was an absolute pleasure to be involved in a project that was so well planned and executed, the build is a real credit to all concerned including yourself as I know you were also hands on with it.
We actually wanted to run a little more boost to see if we could crack the 500 bhp barrier on V Power alone, but the engine is very efficient and so the boost persistently dropped even with max solenoid duty in place. On the road it does boost higher at the top end.
Car is great and your decision to go for a Syvecs very much vindicated.
Now have fun !!!
best regards
Bob
