Default will a turbo engine go in a sport?

hi folks new to the site, i have an impreza sport 2000 classic facelift but want a turbo, would i be able to get a n reg classic impreza turbo engine fitted into my sport? or am i just being daft?

It's not just the engine that different, the gearbox, the diffs, the suspension, the brakes. Better to sell the sport and buy a turbo.

hi ive seen this asked before and basically u would be mental to start as the cost would be huge...changing wiring loom....uprating brakes...ect...ect

sell ur sport and buy a turbo there some real bargains about due to credit crunch, fuel costs and mr g brown ect

Can be done but as already mentioned not worth the hassle !!!

New engine and gearbox along with diffs etc
new ecu and engine loom ( only bit that needs to be changed )
new fuel system
brakes will need upgrading

it will be cheaper to sell and buy a new one unless you were planning a track car then you would strip down and build back up with uprated everything anyway
