Default BMW V8 into E36 3 series

Anybody know someone that's done it ?

I understand the M60 V8 540I 740I has been fitted to the E36 3 series like the ALPINA B8. The major stumbling block being the M60 V8 sump hitting the e36 subframe Alpina made a special sump and oil pump for the B8 but without a genuine alpina chassis number and bill gates wallet it's not really an option.

Any ideas info ?

Cheers Liam

Go onto e36coupe.com, this is covered in a 4 page long thread under the e36 performance section, page 5 I think. Not a conversion for the faint of heart (or sane..) but I shall be attempting this in the very near future!

i have a mate locally who has just finished doing this, has taken him roughly two years to complete in his spare time - he owns his on garage company. He was saying that the sump and oil pick up are the hardest part, he has made his own custom items. Sounds amazing, he is planning on using it for drifting fun lol.
