Default fitting 2.5l short block help!!

im looking to fit a 2.5l short block into my 95 wrx, am i rite in say that u can use the stock ej20 heads? would i need bigger injectors aswel? and finally is it worth it? im looking for maybe 400bhp would a stock ej25 handle this?

Hi im doing just that at the moment and yes the heads fit on but the 2.5 standard will only take 400BHP and with your 95 wrx you will have to get a other turbo because your standard one will only take you to about 340 bhp then a new ecu cos your one cant be maped and bigger injectors, 550 will take you to about 340-390 bhp

If you want a reliable 400 from the 2.5 you will need after market pistons
and the following.

550 injectors
After market FPR
A capable intercooler
Mapable ecu
Stainless headers would be good
Your gear box and clutch will need replacing
Heads will be fine with the correct gasket.

And some.

I think 550 inj will be close to maxed out @400?
