PROJECT PETROL MOBILITY SCOOTER
This is a real project it’s not a joke though some might think so
Some one gave me a freerider Kensington mobility scooter that had been vandalised for nothing.
After checking it out I found that most of the electrics mad been damaged along with the bit that controls the speed and that so I decided to rip it all out and fit an engine that I had been given out of a midi quad I believe, it’s a 49cc 2 stroke which should be ok as its not that heavy.
IV been fiddling with it in my dinner times at work as I work in a fitting shop and have most of the tools I need to do this.
Here are a few photos from start to present
This is what it looked like when I first got it
check out the rims a whopping 6 inch
the seat and back axel off
here iv removed the motor and the gear box
here you can see iv fitted new bearings for the solid 25mm back axel no diff which should help with getting the backend out
engine in
iv even got hold of a proper twist grip for the throttle
if I get any replies of encouragement I will continue to post photos of me progress but it is slow as I only get at most 2 hours a week on it

On a more serious note though I am going to get all the lights and the rest of the electrics working
The engine has its own little alternator so it should all work the only thing is I don’t think the bizzy s would appreciate me riding this on the road and the exhaust is deafeningly loud I might have to make some kind of silencer for it
