Default Badge repair

Hi all.
Just thought i might post a few pics of what i done to my wing badges as they were in a poor state. Instead doing the norm and buying new ones I repaired the old one's. See what you think.
Came out brill i think lol

What i had to deal with! In a poor state.


I then masked it off, as to not damage the paint while sanding.


A few hours of rubbing down got to this state (400 grit)


Then a quick going over with 600 grit gave me a finish to lacquer


Once all masked up i gave it its 1st coat of lacquer



After 3 more coats they looked like this...





Note the Jap news paper found a use lol
Very happy with the result.
