Default Turbo Upgrade

I don't know if Upgrade is the right word.

I have had my 2.0 sport about 10 months now. I bought a sport because of my own inpatience and money restrictions. I have always loved impreza but want a turbo. I could sell her and by a turbo model, but I have already done a few mods to her and would like to keep her if could.

My question is this, what would I have to do to turbo my soprt, is it simply add a turbo or would all the engine need doing,

Places and prices roughly would help

will have about £1000 roughly to play with.

Sorry m8 but with a grand you do not have a chance. There is a lot involved with the conversion. Would you be doing the work yourself?

Best to sell the sport and find a turbo, will cost less in the long run.

As above if you start changing the motor unit for a Sti then you will ideally have to upgrade the brakes, suspension and so on, and even then it will not necessarily give you the same drive. The costs will probably add up to more than what you can pick up a half decent wrx for even if you carry out the works yourself...

Sell it and buy a turbo. To get a sport to the same level you'd need to change the entire engine, the suspension, the brakes, the gearbox and the diffs at least.

sell it and buy a turbo.

You will need to swap engine, ECU, loom, clutch, clutch actuation, exhaust, front subframe, bonnet and loads more besides. Don't even think about it for £1000, if you can't afford to buy and insure a turbo, start saving! Sports hold their value very well anyway.
