Default Project Boredom

First of all im a newbie i hope you will all make we welcome, as i think this project part of the foum will become my new home.

anyways straight to project boredom.

im sure you all get a feeling of wanting to drive as fast as your car lets you, but on the open road there is always the added worry of sneaky under cover cars catching you at jail sentencing speeds etc.

so after a long discussion a few of us from fife has decided to make use of knockhill which is on our doorstep.

we have decided on a RA for several reasons, the lighter option being the main reason, and also after AndyF (scottish subaru god) being so succesfull with his it would always be a good base car.

so the search began for a good, standard as possible RA.

we finally came across one that had sustained to the passenger side B-pillar. we bought it with the intention of fixing the pillar with a new section , until we came across a little chap with a rolling RA shell and after a few discussions we agreed a price which was very reasonable. the shell already has a roll cage fitted underbody protection for the engine sump, gearbox and rear diff. it would also save us the hassle of possibly having to get the original car jigged.

some details of the damaged RA

rebuilt CDB, supposed to be uprated internals but we will not know this until we strip the engine down to inspect it.
all the usual RA spec under the bonnet, 5th injector, water spray, has the close ratio box, boost valve fitted, full apexi exhuast totally decatted
boost gauge
tein coilvers
18" alloys with racing slicks
VF23 turbo, altho it should have been a TD05h
HKS mushroom Filter
HKS BOV
sti v4 splitter
few other bits.

ill try and get some pics this week

most of the mods will be put to the side to make way for some decent parts.

we are hoping for a good useable 350bhp which should be more than ample to go round knockhill.

we are hoping the spec to be the following

keeping the apexi exhaust with decats
gt spec headers
td05h - 18g turbo
apexi power fc with commander
uprated injectors
hks front mount intercooler
cold air feed behind bumper
uprated fuel pump
AVC-r boost controller
oil catch tank
fuel pressure regulator

tein coilovers
4 pot front brakes from MY04 wrx with redstuff pads and uprated discs
front and rear strut braces, front ladder brace, inner boot braces, interior b brace, rear diff brace, antilift kit all from gt spec.

18" wheels with race slicks

body mods will be little maybe a spolier and thats it even the splitter is being removed.

all parts not used from the 2 cars will be for sale soon, which so far includes, ill also post this in the for sale section.

vf23 turbo
ra ecu
black and red check interior
all interior plastics
boost valve
intercooler
intercooler waterspray
full set of RA hubs, im lead to belive that the splines for the driveshafts on these are different to a normal wrx. can anyone shed some light on this ?
full set of RA driveshafts
front and rear uprated brake discs with yellow stuff pads still plenty of life in both
standard RA suspension complete set of 4 struts springs and top mounts
there will be nearly a whole car for sale in bits so anything you need just ask,
