Rebuild my Scooby
Hi Guys and Girls
I’m kinda new to the forum so you will have to bear with me, ironic I own a Scooby for ages and I only find this site after a massive crash.
Anyway here is my story;
I am the owner of an R 1997 Subaru wagon, 2.0L AWD turbo. Its my pride and joy (or at least it was) about 3 months ago I hit a bad bit of road and managed to flip it into a dyke. Lucky to get out but the car was a wreck. Anyway I have looked over the car and the roof took all the damage (and the sides). Engine, running gear etc seems to be in good condition (one bent wishbone).
5 days ago I was offered a K reg 1.8 AWD Sudan, for a pepper corn rate, taxed, MOT’ed etc etc, really nice condition so I got it. What I want to know is ( im sure you have guessed already ) can I strip all the bits off the new one and use the shell to house all the parts from my old 2.0L ?
The car is my baby and I cant go back to a diesel now ;o)
Just so you know I have ramps, pits, and loads of space so that isn’t an issue.
I would really appreciate any advice you can offer
Kind Regards
PeteAJ
