Default 2004 Wrx project

So I bought this Wrx in December as a little rolling project me and my lad could work on. It’s a bit rough but we’ve made a start.

first off we removed the turbo timer. Whilst in the process we found the horrible gauge wiring which had to be ripped out

so we decided the interior was a good place to start the process.
the gauges were tapped in everywhere so was all removed and some looms repaired.

we then brought some connectors to do the job properly

then we removed the cig lighter and wired up a fuse box behind the stereo to power the gauges and 12v socket

then we decided the old centre console was a bit tired

so we ripped it out to do the upgrade. While it was apart we did the cabin filter

We ordered an android unit and installed a 4g dongle, gps antenna and dab+ box within the gauge pod and the dab antenna on the passenger side front window screen

when the new console turned up we decided to wrap the trim in silver/black carbon

and wrapped the heater control surrounds in blue carbon. Subtle but we think it works

currently awaiting the gear and handbrake gaiters to come back from the trimmers

then we installed usb sockets in place of the original cig lighter

and that is currently where she stands. Almost happy with the interior. Next is sti carpet and a better gauge pod

Once interior is done we will move onto the exterior.

thanks for reading so far
