Default Hillclimb Sprint Roadgoing Type R

I'm building a roadgoing Sprint and Hillclimb car, I'd like to try and get some class records with!
I have collected together a few parts, but I may swap and change some between this and my rally car
Some of you may recognise the shell!

Gorgeous, arches on Scoobs just look sensational, are you running spacers on the wheels?

That's where Daz's car went I'd seen you'd sold a load of gear from your rally car too.
Will be nice once it's built up that shell. What are your plans?

No, I will get some wider wheels with a bigger offset. The ones on it currently will be for sale as soon as I find time to sort something else out, I'm pretty busy at the moment

Yep!

I'm limited by the rules for roadgoing class, but basically, 2.5 linered cdb, small port avcs's, gt35, Exedy twin plate, alcatek (all already bought) and suspension setup will be mostly taken from the rally car and move the rally car forward as I'm allowed rose joints on that one. A few option for coilovers, Drummond 50mm in pic will be going on rally car, bc's currently on rally car are great and the apexi's currently on the type r look pretty much identicle. Brake wise type r rear 2pots, AP 330mm 4pots up front. 17x10 wheels but hard to find lightweight ones and i have to consider if good tyres are available
I think a bolt in cage will be a good idea and help stiffen the shell especially if I pick up on b pillars and the roof, still pondering over gearbox options, I love DCCD so that's a must. I'm sure I'll end up doing some weight saving too, but again have to work within the rules which dictate working heaters, Windows etc! They do let you take the carpet out! Ha! But I think I may need to do a little more than that to be competetive...

Hi

If you are planning to use the grey shell i don't think the bolt on arches will pass the silhouette definition (both side and plan view) for roadgoing production.

I believe the arches will be allowed, if I have interpreted the rules correctly

I have not seen the 2015 blue book, not sure it is out yet, but in all previous versions rule 12 is for modified production. Roadgoing production is as per rule 11 (see 10.10.1). For definition of silhouette it is on page 60 of the 2014 Blue book, which unfortunately for bodywork extensions above the centre line of the hub, isn't good.

As you say its all about interpretation, I have been subject to this regarding tyres in the past - best to seek clarification from the eligibility scrutineer of the series you will be competing in.
