Club Pro 620bhp Time Attack Impreza - '99 STI5 RA Ltd
’99 Impreza Race/ Time Attack Car – 620bhp
If I can get the right money then I will sell my Time Attack Impreza as I really need to concentrate on the business next year without TA distractions. I have competed for the last 3 years and the car is a front runner in the Club Challenge class, indeed for 2009 it has been promoted to the Club Pro class as I finished within 5% of the class winning time at 4 of 5 circuits I competed in - indeed the one I didn't was a wet day at Donno - which doesn't count.
The spec af the car is as follows: -
2.35l race engine built by Len Carlyon with the spec as detailed
PPG 1-5 straight cut dog engagement gearbox - in 99 STI casing
DCCD centre diff with straight cut drop gears
exe-tc rs07 coilovers with adjustable top mounts
AP 5555 4 pot 330mm rear brakes
AP 5555 4 pot 330mm front brakes
Swirl pot, twin external bosch 044 fuel pumps and filters, fuel lines & paralle fuel rails
Lateral performance stainless FMIC/Rad combo
LP modified 1000cc injectors (flow matched)
Simtek ECU for 99/00 Impreza
99 Impreza RA shell with full weld in T45 custom cages roll cage, seam welded
Cusco plated LSD rear diff - 3.9:1 ratio and R180
Tilton 600 series pedal box with master cylinders and brake lines
2 x Corbeau XL bucket seats
2 x Schroth 5-way harnesses FIA approved
Exedy triple plate carbon clutch
Momo Race steering wheel with quick release coupling
AVCR in blue
Wideband AFR with LC-01 display
4 x low mileage driveshafts
100mm K&N filter & samco inlet
Spares/ parts not fitted
new set 235/40/18 R888 tyres
Scooby wheels with 215/45/17 T1R tyres
CTG carbon fibre propshaft for 5 speed (BNIB unused)
Turbo Dynamics GT4088R turbo (700bhp+ capable)
1 x 42mm TIAL ext wastegate
AP 5555 6 pot 356mm front brake calipers
LP modified 740cc Nismo injectors (flow matched
Reverse inlet manifold
Rear whitline adjustable lateral links
APS 3.5" internal diameter turbo back exhaust
Twin scroll baffled sump
Twin scroll tubular manifold
Race Engine built by Len Carlyon, spec (reliably run 620bhp and 2.2 bar):-
EJ22T closed deck block with under piston oil squirters
STI heads, gas flowed, ported and polished
Arrow billet steel crank with 79mm stroke
Kent Lateral Performance spec camshafts
ACL race bearings
Supertech one piece inlet valves
Lateral Performance baffled sumpSupertech inconel exhaust valves
Wiseco pistons
Supertech valve springs
Crower Rods
Titanium Performance retainers
Uprated 1.6mm steel head gasketsPorted and polished heads
ARP uprated head studs
Full set of Shimless buckets
Phase 2 inlet manifold with insulating spacers
CDF Racing alloy vernier cam pulleys
The total cost to build this car has been circa £50k over the last few years including the car. It is road legal and is taxed and MOT'd, although it is not ideal for road driving as it is set-up for the track.
The car has been built and maintained by Len at Subaru 4 You in Newbury and mapped by Simon Roe (Jolly Green Monster). Majority of tuner parts have been sourced through Mark Aigin (Lateral Performance).
Looking for £18k for the car and happy to discuss offers on the parts - realistic pricing in the current times.
And how about being immortalised forever in Forza 2...

LMA project feedback
hi tony,
nice car mate. very nice.
i'm sure what your saying is right about the cost thing. if only i had 18k right now.
can you PM me to give a price you'd except if your willing to go any lower. if not and as i've seen a few people after various parts, would you be kind enough to give me some quotes seperately on the entire engine, suspension set up, brake set ups, complete gear box.
many thanks and once again, great car

Update for you all. I'm not looking to break the car if possible and currently have a couple of interested parties interested in the whole car. I will be exploring these avenues completely before considering breaking the car.
The best thing is to drop me a PM if you're interested in any items, that way I can respond to you and won't miss any interest.
Cheers and hope you all have a great New Year
Terry
