Default 2003 Civic Type R *Px Sti 8*

It is a 2003 model in NHB (black), with all the usual Type R refinements, EPS, ABS, 6 speed, 197 bhp, Twin air bags, Electric windows and mirrors, 17" alloys, Twin exhaust.

The car has covered 62000 miles and is standard apart from a few sensible and researched modifications, which are mainly suspension orientated. The car is accident free and has no outstanding finance, a HPI check will verify this. I only use the car at the weekend as I get a car through the week with work, needless to say since owning it I have only really covered motorway miles to get to and from my home town to visit relatives.

It has full Honda service history and I have had the oil changed every 6000 miles using Silkolene Pro-S 5W40 fully synthetic oil. Interval checks are carried out at TGM sport in Fleet, Hampshire. For those that don't know TGM sports specialise in the Type R brand and are highly reputed within the Type R/Honda community.

I am the 3rd owner from new and I have both sets of keys/alarm fobs for the car.

I have cleaned the car religiously weekly using Meguirs NXT class products and Autoglym interior cleaning shampoos. The body work is in great condition with no 'shopping trolley' dents or scrapes, although there are some minor stone chips on the bonnet which is to be expected.

The car is fed on Shell V-power fuel.

Included in the price are the following enhancements :

Eibach springs complimented with a TGM fast road set up using eibach rear adjustable arms and front bolts, this has improved the handling of the car 110% - the springs have lowered the car 25mm at the front and 20mm at the rear. I can not emphasise enough how much of an improvement this is over the standard suspension set up!

Other modifications include a JDM rear anti roll bar matched with a carbing tie bar this has tightened up the back end nicely, underneath the car a Spoon sports magnetic sump plug and gear box plug are also fitted as recommended by TGM.

Cosmetic enhancements include:

- Genuine JDM wind deflectors

- Tinted windows which are tinted to the same spec as the anniversary edition Type R's.

- A Mugen grill which gives the car an aggressive look from the front end.

- Mugen pedals & JDM style foot well lighting which illuminates the lower interior nicely when the car is unlocked.

- An Alpine stereo with Ipod connector

It is also worth noting that it has been fitted with unmarked Type R premier alloys with RE040 Bridgestone potenzas which are almost new.

The car benefits from having EBC grooved discs and mintex brake pads fitted all round which have improved the stopping power of the car considerably and I have an unopened set of OEM Honda front pads to throw in with the sale of the car.

The rear seats include headrests which were an optional extra for a 2003 Type R, since owning the car I don't remember anyone ever sitting in the rear! It also comes with genuine Honda Type R mats. The interior is more or less spotless.

I recently had a new clutch fitted, 2000 miles ago at Alan day Honda in Southampton and the 2nd gear synchro (common fault when the car is cold) The bill was just under £1k!! It made sense for me to get the clutch changed when the synchro was getting replaced.

The car comes with a long MOT (June 09) and I think the car qualifies for a free MOT for life through Honda but will need to confirm, the tax expires at the end of December and I will be re-taxing it then

I will let the pictures do the talking.

All the wheels look like this.

.

I think that covers everything!

All that for a mere £6500

The car is priced to sell and I am looking for a quick sale as I have seen the car I am hoping to buy.

I will not tolerate any test pilots or tyre kickers, a proof of insurance will be needed before any test drives will take place.

Please call/text 07776 066089

I am in the forces based in Salisbury,Wilts but as of this Friday (12th December) I will be at home on leave for 3 weeks in the St Ives, Cambridgeshire area.

Thanks for looking.

This is fairly local to me. Well looked after with no expense spared! Lovely car which can be doubled up as a mirror very clean!

I wil be removing the eibachs and fitting the OEM springs as most of the people that have shown interest in the car can not get insured with after market springs

I will then advertise the car at £6250 ovno

Of course in the mean time I am always open to sensible offers as it stands..

Now on PH for £5999 all in, for no other reason than if I do not sell my car before the new year then I miss out on the example I am looking to replace it with, This is the lowest I will take and after new year I wont be in so much of a rush to sell

The CTR-Sti ownership is somewhat incestuous
