Default Ecutek ECU mapped to 335bhp by JGM

NOW SOLDThis is for my Ecutek ECU bought & mapped by the Jolly Green Monster, it was mapped with a TD05 turbo, fmic, ported headers & induction kit & cold air feed, it made 335bhp with ease.
As you know the 1st map itself is expensive (£500) as included in the price is the payment for the licence however this one is already paid for so further tweeks are straight forward and simple, its plug and play.
This was on my Uk Turbo MY00, save yourself a few hundred quids £150ono + P&P via courier or your welcome to collect

NOW SOLD

With similar mods to what I had fitted I believe yes..
As for the little more involved cost wise I don't know, the best person to ask would be JGM direct. He's a really approachable guy and happy to answer anything you ask him..

Default ecutek

Have asked a mapper the question before about just needing a tweek to suit my cars mods on a ecutek with licence and the advise is a full map to be on the safe side.

Okie dokie however you wouldn't need to pay the licence which If I remember right was £400 or £500 + the map..
I had my first map about 3 years ago and since then have had one tweek and a full map again in April this year, the full map cost me £150

A custom remap (also known as a Tek3) is £500+vat. Volume discounts are available on this price and a typical 'group buy' price is £460+v depending on the number of cars booked in. Phone or email for details of the latest offers available.

The above price is for the initial custom mapping which includes the licencing fee for the ECU. Subsequent mapping of a licenced ECU is £195+v if it my own base map or £350+v if starting with another tuners base map.

Taken from AndyF's website.

So if I buy yours at £150, and take it to Andy, he's gonna charge me £350+vat as its another tuners base map?

That equals £500+Vat which is the price to map my own ecu anyway

Only worth it if you take your car to JGM to get it mapped to your own car.

Depends who you take it to. When I was getting mine done I spoke to Bob Rawle about getting an already Ecutek'd ecu and getting Hume to map it. The base map was one he selected from his vast library and used that to start tuning. His quote was £200 for a full map so there are mappers out there who don't feel the need to charge a huge amount

It'll cost £150 for the ECU, £200+vat to get it mapped, MAYBE more so at least it'll cost £350+vat to get it up and running on your own car.

Yes, its cheaper than mapping a standard ECU by £100-£150 but suddenly a £150 bargin is £350+vat.

If you buy this ecu and fit it to your car andthen get jgm(who travels) to map your car, depending on what he charges you, you will still save a load of money. I have seen STD ecu's for sale for more than £150 & I sold my prodrive one for double that.
When my 99 uk turbo was scrapped I took the ecu which was mapped by bob Rawle out of the car and fitted it to my 2000 uk turbo . It cost me £120 to have the old map tweaked and the car went from 215 bhp to well over 300 bhp . £150 for a ecu mapped by jgm , that's a bargain imho - no matter what planet You come from.

Morning all
I've only been notified of the one reply so it was a bonus to see all 8 comments this morning.
Thanks for all your imput though on costs etc, its not something I myself have not done before so I actually have no idea of what the ECU/Licence is worth however the price still stands, if its worth more then hey ho my loss & if that makes me well so be it..

WRX fifer, I know what you mean re the other post, it was a bit ott imo, there was no need for the rant really was there? I thought for a minute this was heading along the same route and broke out into a minor sweat, lol .. Thanks though, Julie

Hi Julie.

I guess this would fit a MY99 uk Turbo too?
