Bought this less than 1 year ago and was standard, had it for all of 19 days and the headgasket went. To say I wasn’t happy was an understatement! Anyway I was a member of my local owners club and posted that night about my engine temp gauge was going nuts. It was suggested to go to a local guy called Andy Kindon who was only 1 mile away from my house for him to look at. He gave me the bad news within 30 seconds looking at it. Andy is well known locally as he is very good at what he does, he has rebuilt the 2 fastest scoobys in the club an RB5 that is pushing 600bhp and a Hawkeye that pushing the same and both are daily drivers aswell! When Andy was doing the headgasket he noticed one of the finns on the VF23 turbo had snapped so I replaced that with a VF28 as that was all I could get my hands on at the time as I needed the car back on the road ASAP and fitted a de-cat up-pipe at the same time. The rest of the mods have been put on in stages. The reason why the Scooby is up for sale was on Tuesday I received a phonecall at 6:30pm to say I lost one of my job! This is the ONLY reason its for sale as I have put alot of money into the Scooby in such a short period of time and got it exactly how I wanted it.. My wife does mileage with here job and the Scooby is not the car for it when you lost your job! It is always ran on V-Power and a 2ml per Litre of NF.
Scooby was only imported in 2004 so is pretty dam clean.

To above - because he's running an mbc.
Nice ride mate - add what ecu you're got with that spec as well to help the sale. Good luck.

The ecu is standard, IS ecu
It is alot of money for a 96 wrx, i understand that. The car was £3500 And have spent £2000 in less than a year so stands me at £5500. This car wants for nothing, runs VERY well, and is in great shape for its year. And it does say ONO, I looked in Autotrader at some of them listed and to be fair for the spec its not to bad. Whatever the car has needed it has been done, i dont cut corners, there's no point as it will bit you in the *** sooner rather than later!
