For sale 96 STI Wagon (interest check)
OK before I start it needs an engine?!!(READ BELOW)
So i'm just seeing what sort of feedback I get before I commit to sell. I'm also waiting on a guy to call me back with an engine he has.
I bought this car in June and had new plugs, cambelt, tensioner, air con and power steering belts fitted to it. Then I got a knocking crank soon after! So I thought sod it I'll go down the cheap route to get me through winter and bought a 2nd hand sti engine for it with 83k on it and also put a 2nd hand turbo on it because when I took mine off it had some bent fins on it. Anyway put the new (2nd hand) engine and turbo in it and it blew all the oil out of it and lost compression on 1 cylinder after 40 miles
. I took the head off today hoping for a knackered valve but no it was the piston that had melted!!
So I now have a engine with a good crank but melted pistons and one with a scrap crank and good pistons. So if your good at that sort of thing then it just needs the good crank shelling and going on the good piston engine?
The car is a pleasure to drive when running.

Impreza 1996 N reg sti Wagon,
In excellent condition inside. The body has a few marks on it as you can see in the pics. Wheels are mint.
2002 17" alloys wrapped in Goodyear Eagle f1's (nearly new)
Blitz induction kit.
Full stainless TSL de-cat exhaust with 5" tail (sounds awsome)
Razo turbo timer.
Momo steering wheel.
Tim boost gague.
Sti pedals.
Clear indicators.
Side skirts.
Thatcham cat 1 alarm and imobiliser.
Looking at £1800 or £1600 without the wheels as they cost me a fortune!!
