Default V7 STI JDM 6 Speed gearbox with matchin diff

I have a 6 speed gearbox (including linkage & gear ****) plus the correct 3.9 diff to go with it.

This came out of a Version 7 Sti with 30k on the clock.

I'm looking for £1750 + £80 to get it on a pallet & deliver it to a mainland UK address - or you can come & collect it.

I'm open to offers, within reason.

I'd be interested in a TY754 - 5 speed box plus diff from a newage WRX as a PX for this box & diff.

thanks for looking

I've got a 2003 UK WRX gearbox with 29k miles on it for a swap... How much would you be willing to "pay" for this?

Is the box still in the car so that it can be tested etc?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Have you gone mad? Yours drives beautifully

I know the STi 6 speed ratio isn't ideal for the 2.5 conversion but I can live with it knowing it can handle the torque. If you drive a normal motor for a while you'll realise what you have here.

Free insult & bump

PS, let me have first dibs on your pipe if you go down that route

ive bought a mondy tdci mate, as discussed the other day, so maybe you are right. im taking this one off the road and storing it for the time being. if i can get a TY754 box then i will probably go down the ppg route, providing I'm still in work, otherwise it will be broken. you will get first dibs on anything buddy.

cheers for the bump & insult

Just spotted this and was wondering why you think the STI 6 speed isn't ideal for the 2.5?

Cheers.

Its not that it isn't ideal, its just that its not ideal for me. The 6 Speed is brilliant for the 2.5 - as Smokingskills says, "it can handle the torque" without shitting itself all over the road, how ever the JDM box isn't what I need for how I use my car, I need the UK ratios with either a PPG 5 speed or a UK 6 speeder - hence the reason I'm selling my box, wanna buy it?

No, just spent a fortune getting the JDM 6 speed on the 2.5 conversion I'm having done over at API !! Hence the worried question

I do have a 5 speed and prop that's coming out of it though. I think David has nabbed the diff already, but the box is sound. PM me if you're interested.
