No, just spent a fortune getting the JDM 6 speed on the 2.5 conversion I'm having done over at API !! Hence the worried question
I do have a 5 speed and prop that's coming out of it though. I think David has nabbed the diff already, but the box is sound. PM me if you're interested.

What an unfortunate choice of phrase !!
NXG's box is TY754 VN4AA We've looked ot over it is fine.

Why are you looking to change - are the ratios wrong for you? I've a UK sti 6 speed (with DCCD) and I find the ratios a little long for me. Is it possible to 'swap' boxes but for me to retain the DCCD? Assuming that you have lower ratios!
I don't know the code of my 'box, but believe it to be from an '04 UK sti (may be wrong though). Not used much and from memory it runs at about 3000 rpm at 80mph (speedo reading, so probably nearer a true 70mph) in 6th.

What is the gearbox code?
I wasn't aware that UK 04 cars had DCCD, I thought it was only on the later cars? If we were to swap then you would lose your DCCD.
The ratios are wrong for the way I use my car.

Another punter possibly intersted. My box went bang today so after a 6 speed to handle my current set up.
