Sorry, did not check this thread again.

The seller is offering a Sky+ box not a Sky HD box!

I had a letter from Sky last week offering me a Sky HD box for £150 or a newage Sky + box (the one with Sky Anytime) for £80....

Hope that helps...

Yes, and as I have said Sky WILL do HD for £150.....

I also heard a couple of days ago of someone getting their subscription free as well, but I dont think you will get both deals, only one of the other. When I got the letter I was tempted with the £150, but to be honest I think an extra £10 a month for three channels (or however many it is) is just obscene....

I didnt keep the letter otherwise I would have scanned it, but you can be assured that I am not making it up!

If Sky are offering it to you for £300, then either a) your crap at negotiating on the phone or b) you have only been with Sky for ten minutes and are not seen as a loyal customer....

Wazo, curry's will do you a hd box at £149. they have an offer @ £149 if you buy a tv but actually only need the receipt to activate the discount. Look really interested at £149 and completely uninterested at £299 and the sales man will explain that any receipt will do, buy some batteries or something.

Riverside is where I got mine.
