420/420+ 2.5 CLASSIC FOR SALE
PROVISONALLY SOLD!
These parts are not actually NEEDED, seen as the car is mapped and has the commander to let you know the details.
Well i've finally decided to do what i should have done a couple times already. I'm selling my car.
It's a model year 99/00 and was bought new on 03/10/2000 and it's a Belgium import. It's in Royal Silver and has 1 previous owner, known as John Banks, who i'm sure you'll all know, from Scoobynet and 22B.com.
Current mileage is just over 68k. It is at the moment waiting on the calipers coming back from AP Racing as they have been away for a rebuild. The brake discs are new Godspeed grooved 305mm discs with new DS2500 pads and dot5 fluid.
The clutch has only done a couple thousand miles and was bought brand new and imported from Japan.
We estimate the car to be EASILY pushing 420/420, but in reality it's probably closer to 440/440. A bit more work on the AVCR and you'd see 1.7 bar of bOost. The turbo is rated to 470-480hp, so there is still an area of gain if you wish to run more boost.
I was going to be asking 12k for the car as it is, but i have had the gearbox slip out of 3rd gear a couple of times. IMHO it isn't worth the hassle of getting the box out to do something as small as that, so i'd leave it till the box gives up. So i'm asking for 11.5k ono. However i AM open to offers for a quick sale.
You won't find a more genuine car. Only the rear bumper has been resprayed, apart from the rear spoiler and front splitter. There is a couple of tiny car park dings and a small ding fromJohn leaning against it, on the offside front wing. My Dentmaster will get rid of these no problems, but we all know, dings appear every day, so it maybe aint worth it!
You can either PM me or email me on dm009c5349atblueyonder.co.uk

Lol, Kenny.S said the exact same thing to me when i first posted those pics!
Indeed it is. Think it was the first proper drive out when it got all built with the 20G.

I bought the car with the majority of the parts there, but the engine was needing head gaskets.
I done all the work myself, including the timing belt and tensioner.
As said above, the turbo is rated to 470-480hp and going from what is fitted and what boost the car runs, we estimate it to be AT LEAST 420/420. If i still have the car after the new year, then it will be getting booked for a run on the rollers to prove the figures as people are so into this.
Gearbox isn't a problem IMHO. I would continue to use the car this way till the power, or your driving , breaks it. It isn't worth paying the money for the work on something as little as that.

So to recap what has been renewed this year(brand new items):-
Wiseco pistons and rings
ARP head studs
Cometic head gaskets
Timing belt and tensioner
Zerosports thermostat
Front Godspeed discs
Front DS2500 pads
AP calipers rebuilt BY AP RACING with new seals and bleed nipples
Exedy twin plate clutch and flywheel
Gearbox HAS been out and rebuilt, but was a cash job(although expensive)
Since these have been fitted, the car has done about 3-4000 miles.

Finally decided to take the plung .! Good luck with the sale. Not many about like these folks, and I have no doubt at all its well over the 400/400 mark. This is not pub talk figures it has all the mods to support it.

Buy a 6 speeder = £1500.
Spend a weekend to fit it.
Sell a desirable V6 5 speeder =£500/600.
So, just £900 up on the price, open the boost a touch more to 450 x 450 because the trans will take it, and you have a killer Impreza with super smooth delivery and a close box with a cruising 6th..
How much nicer can that be?
