I have a engine out of a legacy for sale same engine as is in the impreza except better or so i have been told Engine code is EJ20GNW1BD this fits into a impreza i no this for sure as a friend of mine recently put a leggy engine into his impreza after buggering his big ends. still for sale guys £400 takes it. comes with a good turbo and intercooler.

 

Which model/age legacy does this come from m8, what mileage/SH, thought the only leggy turbo's where twin turbos.

its a single turbo out of a 93 leggy has done 70k, my mate put the same style engine into his impreza last month so im assuming it will fit. the only difference on the facelift engine is the plugleads are mounted on top of the engine.

 

Evan, it wont drop striaght into yours as yours is phase 2, sensors connections as well as the plugs are different on yours. #You could just swap your top end over though.
The legacy engine has differences on engine internals as well I believe, possibly different cam profiles to that of an wrx so it may not be as powerful

 

the legacy is actually more powerfull than the wrx when in an impreza thats what my mate done just changed over the inlets.

 

still for sale, this engine will drop straight into any pre 95 impreza, will also fit in any post 95 impreza but changing the top end over will be required.
