Type RA gearbox for sale ?????
Just selling my type RA gearbox in preperation for a 6 speed and the bank loan to go with it
I was wondering how much it would go for ??
It's the close ratio 5-speed thats come from my 96 jap type RA with 40k on the clock.
Also it has the adjustable diff, will i need to sell it with the box and get a new one to suit a sourced six speed or will the new car need the diff to go with the gearbox anyway ??
How much do you think and for what. Any help is greatly appreciated as i save for my six speed box
Chris.

I sold my perfect RA non-DCCD box with rear diff 2 years ago for £400.
A DCCD set-up will run about £700/800 max
You will probably need to change the rear diff when you get the 6 speeder.
Note that an STi V7 6 speeder with DCCD, ecu, prop/diff/shifter etc sold for £990 on eb@y last week!
good luck,
Graham.

Minty, if you have a 3.9 rear diff (I think you have - check the code) then a jap 6 speed up to MY05 is all you need, plus the shortened prop (and a bit of adjustment to the starter motor locating hole)
Edit to say I don't think the DCCD can swap over ,you'll have to source a 6 speed with DCCD, but your controller will work with it. That is what I believe through research, not gospel!
