Reason for sale is I'm fed up with the manufacturers promising that they will make it work on my MY98 but never coming up with the promised upgrade....THIS WILL NOT WORK ON ANY SUBARU BEFORE 1999!!!!

When i saw the title of this i thought... ahhh i'll get it and keep it until the software upgrade so i can use it on MY98 PPP. Guess that wouldn't be a good idea having now read it all not just the title. Did PSI3 say anything about time scales etc...

This might be a daft question (as you've said Classic shape only!), but will this work in my MY05? I'd be wanting to fit it in one of the radio slots, not in the pod?

If it will, and it has the latest software, then I could be very interested...

 

to be fair to psi3, they lost their software engineer and are finding their feet again after employing someone new.

Patience required as in my opinion, it is worth the wait.

 

Thanks Adam, but i must say that Pele was given false hope by our ex engineer/partner. I should also add we have only ever sold one pre '99 unit through a distributor and when it became clear the software to allow this to work would not be forthcoming we made a full refund, i must point out that Pele did not buy this unit from us but bought it secondhand. At present our new engineer has other areas to concentrate on other than pre '98.

The unit will work on any vehicle and we will offer the new owner the latest software free of charge ( Post 99 Impreza inc. all New Age ), the enclosure that Pele has is for a "classic" shape Impreza, we can supply a single DIN if required.

I was thinking of contacting PSI3 directly, as I've been considering buying one of these for my (completely bog standard) MY05 WRX. (assuming it won't invalidate the warranty?)

I heard a rumour that you guys were about to bring out something new - is this true? If it is, can you give us a quick insight into its functionality, and when it's likely to be available?

If not, I'd be interested in Pele's unit, as long as it's fully compatible with my car, and will fit in one of the stereo slots. (Which also means I'll need to buy a new single din stereo!...)

I must add that the unit was brand new and unused, and all in the box when I brought it, as Fulham 71 can vouch for....
