The RS is the lightweight rally version of the lancer/evo

They are all scotia white

They have lightened body panels

Plated strengthened rear diff

engine and strut strengthening bars

close ratio gearbox

The RS is the lancer released for conversion to a rally car

Quick steering rack

This car has been in the uk since 2003 and has had 1 owner, myself, it is taxed for 10 months and mot’d for 8.


I am a member of an enthusiast club, and I totally love this car, and have spent ££££ on it since buying in july 2003, it wants for nothing and has had more than it needs


I bought the car as a fresh import, grade 4, totally unmodified. I have since modestly and sensible modified the car. All original parts where replaced have been kept and will be supplied as well, eg. Oem suspension, exhaust, cat etc.



Modifications:

Engine (doesn’t burn a drop of oil)

Denso Iridium Spark plugs
Hks induction kit (filter just changed)
Forge twin piston Dump valve with filter
GIZZMO chipped ECU fully mapped and tested (optimax)
Greedy Profec-A intelligent learning adjustable boost controller
Full stainless steel exhaust system and decat
Painted rocker cover
Recent compression test showed engine in great cond.
Suspension

Koni adjustable competition shocks
Whiteline progressive 25mm lowering springs
Whiteline Camber kit
Whiteline Anti lift kit
Whiteline Poly bushes
Up rated alloy anti roll bars
Cusco front and rear strut braces
Brakes

Recent Group N tarmac spec discs all round
With Mintex 1144 spec brake pads (they can occasionally squeal at low speed)
Interior

Hks 52mm Boost gauge, blue illuminescent face
Clarion CD player
Award winning phillips 6*9
Boost controller centrally mounted in dash, looks oem!
Exterior Mods

16" aftermarket lightweight alloys
FALKEN competition road tyres 205/45/16 all round – excellent tread
Red mudflaps are fitted
EVO 1 spoiler
Clear indicators, unopened, not fitted will be included free
Possibly include evo3 front bumper in sale for a wee bit extra, after negotiation.
Also 3, 52mm gauges with fittings/transducers, oil temp, oil pressure and water temp similar to the hks boost one – will include as above


Servicing

I bought this car last year, July, and have details of previous owners and services.

I have had the oil and filter changed every 3000 miles, the car has recently had :-

New, clutch, cover plate and release bearing

Balanced propshaft

4 wheel laser alignment and suspension set up

I have ££££ worth of bills for parts and servicing done during my years ownership – no expense spared !!

Parts used have been all genuine mitsu or best quality I can find, oils used are mobile 1 full synthetic, silkolene in the engine, and silkolene lsd and gearbox oils, which have all been recently changed.

for sale is my Mitsubishi Lancer RS, its a very rare car, and there are very few if any examples of it in this condition in the UK, most are now Rally cars. This is the platform as the EVO I, II & III and shares many, virtually all parts. the main diffencr being the 1.8l engine istead of 2l.



The car being the 1.8 litre turbo has been thankfully overlooked by the insurance companies and is only a group 14 car as supposed to the 2.0 litre evos group 20. Insurance quotes are literally 1/3 of the EVO yet this car is though not faster is quicker up to around 90-100mph. Scoobs and pulsars are skinned BTW.

Performance

The car has rolling road graphs with it and its made during the states of tune 200-246bhp (195bhp standard)

This is being made at 1.1 bar boost, the car has been mapped to run on optimax/sul and is running very safe fuelling wise up to 1.3bar boost. Tested on RR with wideband - mixture is virtually perfect across rev range and boost levels.

0-60mph is around 4 seconds

0-100mph is very very fast !

Top speed is around 145mph – very quick

Drives as if on rails and very pleasing to drive.



Security,

YES – more than adequate

Started uni course and paying my own way in life now that I’ve moved out my parents.

any other questions at all just ask.

Bad points,

1) couple of stone chips on bumper/bonnet/sills – nothing major, just typical

2) drivers seat a little (3cm) torn – studded jeans on leatheresque seat fabric

3) a few interior marks on the passengers door handle from scared passengers gripping too tight
