I need one, depending on the price. I think a short motor is £750+VAT from IM brand new so what did you want for yours? What sort of guarantee are you providing with it?

Cheers

Andy

Sounds v reasonable but on inspection my old CDB just needs new bearings so a rebuild will be my cheapest option. I'm unsure as to the differences between a Phase 1 and 2 short block anyhow so I'll pass.

Good luck selling.

Andy.

Dont quote me but check the adaptor plate for the gearbox mounting. Your 94 WRX will require a 4 hole plate. Some of the later engines have 6 mounting holes and that would require some modification. The engine wiring harness is different but as you are only being supplied the short motor it may be that you can just transfer the sensors from your old engine.

There may be other detail differences but in the main the short motors should be the same. You'll obviously need to get hold of a top end gasket set. Pattern and Genuine sets are available.
