can i ask what mileage you get from her ? Ive always liked the Evo and am on the verge of selling my P1 to fund it. One thing stopping me buying one is the horror stories my mate tells me of 8 to the gallon. How close is he ? i know he sold his because of this.

hi scoobyp1

how many miles to the gallon? hmmmm. she costs £27 to fill the tank with optimax. driven at no less than 100mph (on private roads) i will get about 120 mile range from her. shes mapped to run on optimax, or SUL with octane booster.
obviously, if fuel economy/fuel tank range is paramount, then this isnt the car for you. its not a 60k mile a year on the motorway kinda car, no evo is. its a fill it up, and kiss yer *** goodbye kinda car

Only £27 to fill it ? how big is the tank on the car ? My P1 will take £40 for fun.... Im not so much of a motorway driver, its more the around town figures i was looking for. The car does look gorgeous mate, would look damn fine next to my other toy. Its time for a change from the P1 i feel

thanks p1 tud and george

p1
lets face it, evo's have diddy fuel tanks, so theyre not perfect. but then not many cars are. for around 22k someone is going to get a car that will muller most things on the road, and those that will beat it will cost probably at least 3 times as much.
its costs around 20k to get this car to this level (not including buying her in the first place) and i'd make more if i stripped her and sold her as standard. but its not about the money,i dont need it that bad, i just wont undo what ive done coz i think she's just about perfect (apart from a diddy fuel tank)

no probs at all mate if theres anything else you wanna know, no matter how trivial, just ask. if i dont know the answer i can find out for you. besides, im sure plenty of people who are thinking of an evo but not neccessarily this one will look at this thread and if it answers some of their constructive comments/questions, then im happy to help

dont suppose you want a P1 do you ? the guy that was meant to buy mine today has decided to not turn up and wont answer his phone, yet he gave me a deposit of £500 to hold the car for him last week. I cant believe that your car is cheaper for me to insure aswell, £430 cheaper infact. I took the new M3 out last week, was tempted by one after buying a Z4, thought 2 BMW's in the garage would look pretty cool for a 27yr old. Little bit more than i can afford at the moment though......

no offence, but no thanks mate. i genuinely think p1's are lovely looking motors with a great engine noise, but ive owned two scoobys before, and its an m3 with smg i want, got my heart set on one, i genuinely need to be more practical house wise.

i actually bought the new top marques today, fukk me, theres hardly any evo's in there, and those that are aint much cheaper than mine(especially dealer ones), some even more. i think ive underpriced mine, i genuinely do
if it doesnt sell on here before my hols, i will take it off here and definately put it in top marques for quite a bit more dough than im asking here
selling here means its more likely to go to an enthusiast, and saves me the bother and hassle of tyre kickers to an extent.
i know there are people interested in this car, but they have to sell theirs first, so it may take a little time. i dont mind, im in no particular rush

i wont be able to check emails till 7pm now, but in the meantime ive added a pic of the back end of the car which shows the zigen exhaust. arguably the loudest exhaust you can buy for an evo, and hard to come by. it sounds the absolute b0ll0cks
the pic is on page two of the clicky link at the start of this thread. have a good day everyone

ps the car needed a wash when i took the pic, but at least it shows how everything colour coordinates etc

thanks for the compliments fellas, much appreciated!

scoobyp1, are you in the process of selling your p1 or just thinking about it?as i say, im in no particular rush, i turned down an offer of 20k quick sale yesterday, because shes worth more than that. what i want, is for someone to buy her who'll love her at least as much as i do. sentimental possibly, but i'd rather keep her than her go to a bad home. its not a question of money, i dont need it that bad, i need the space at my house, and for her to be used more regularly than i can offer.
i took her out for a spin into work today, what a noise! set my beemers alarm off when she was idling next to it ha ha ha!
this is without doubt the best jap car (imho) that ive ever owned. a big part of me wants to keep her, if only for shows, but i gotta stick to my guns and go down to one compromise car

if theres anything else anyone wants to know eg insurance costs etc, just let me know
