Just a name, except for insurance purposes as it's an import. And some dealers get arsey about them too. And the fact that the spec is different to a UK car.

The V5 says 'Mazda MX-5'
The MOT says 'Mazda MX-5'
My insurance policy reads 'Mazda MX-5'
For all intents and purposes, it's a 'Mazda MX-5'

As far as spec goes, RHD, AC, EW, PAS, hydraulic clutch, mazdaspeed exhaust, tien suspension
