Yes it will fit a MY95 STI and no it won't fit a MY97 car.

I think Tim Bomford (?) is selling a Link that will fit a MY97 car. It currently has a 22B chip in it, but BRD will be able to supply a chip for a 2 litre car.

the manual talks of WRX & Liegacy and Liberty ... not too sure if the manual covers all these systems (doesnt seem to separately only mentions that the ECU is located in a different place )
Link Electrosystems Ltd manufacter Link ECU's so I suppose they would know if it fits in anything but a pre 97 WRX.
