I'm moving to Australia, where at least if I am un-employed I'll get a better suntan (instead of a bigger overdraft!)
They do mad things to Scoobies over there as well!!

With all respect charlie it seems only "us" dealers who are in any position to buy at the moment.
This has to be the cheapest P1 I have ever seen advertised.
I'm sure once Christmas has come and gone there will be a few who will be prepared to commit

No offence Mellow
Honest truth is I would really like to see it go to somebody who will take care of it...
I doubt I will sell it before Christmas, but I can always try!

I'm Going to cut and paste the answers to everybodys questions!!
Exact mileage now? 29,185
Exact date of registration? 10/6/2000
You say excellent condition -
Has there ever been any panel replacements/resprays
Any parking dents/stone chips bumper damage/lights cracked etc - know the front spoiler takes alot of grief on
the P1's and see that you have that resprayed?
Both front and rear spoilers replaced under warranty (flakey paint) I have armour fend on the front spoiler
Side strips re-sprayed.
Otherwise mint
Any history?, accidents/stolen recovered/damaged etc? No History
Number of previous owners (including yourself)? I have owned the car from new
Any track days? - not that this puts me off as long as it has been regularly serviced and oil changed?
I have done 2 track days in it, one at 8000 miles and one at 18,000 both times I had the oil changed before and after
Alloy wheel condition? very good
Tyres - wear/tread remaining? new rear tyres (proxies) fronts have 3-5000 miles left - new tyres cost £90 on 17" rims - that one of the reasons I don't have the 18" rims
Assume full subaru dealer service history? - date of last service?
Full Subaru history, had 2year/30,000 mile service 6 months ago
Why are you selling it? I'm going to Australia
Any finance outstanding? Yes
I think I read on one post earlier that you had some HP outstanding, assume you would agree to settle this at purchase
with bankers draft or payment to finance company from myself?
Yes, don't mind how we do it.
You mention VDO - please explain what this means - not too up on ICE stuff? It's the best stereo they could sell me at the dealership... Single CD player, sounds very good, even compared to the £500 jobs I have fitted in my other cars.
Have you got the original airbox as well? I have all original bits (including side repeaters) and they will be included with the car.
Would obviously have to get car inspected/checked etc but hopefully if the car is all straight/honest (which it appears
to be) then this shouldnt be a problem.
Please could you also supply me with the VIN number and name and address of the garage that you had the
car serviced at. Serviced at Templeton Motors Barnstaple. **********
The car has 6 months of Tax just put on it
The car has always been serviced on or before the service date, I have never had a problem getting warranty work, I have just had all the disks replaced under warranty due to surface cracking - thats why I still have the original brakes; you can have them replaced under warranty
Personally I think £16,500 is very very cheap for a P1, I'm still making a loss at that. I am not going for a couple of months and it's only 4 months after that when it goes back... So there is not a lot of point in me letting it go for silly cheap money as that is what it will go back for - i.e. I can take a big loss now or spread it out over the next few months in repayments.
Big thing is I would like it to go to somebody has some reasonable passion for the car, rather than auction (which is what will happen when it goes back to hp) - it comes out in Top Marques next week as well.

I'm a bit confused if its registered on 10/6/00 then surely its a W reg not an X. As X ran from 01/09/00 - 28/2/01
Thought maybe you got the date of reg wrong and infact it has more warranty etc left.
Cheers Jas

Absolutely Correct, it is a W reg - my mistake - I've changed it on the top.
Servicing always done at Templeton Motors Barnstaple - Now North Devon Motors, a Honda dealership, but they are still authorised Subaru Dealers.
I have a couple of people coming to see it this weekend, so lets see what happens.
Cheers...

I'm stupid, actually I was showing the post to my wife and she pointed it out before I even got to the end of the thread...
It's the stress of letting my pride and joy go for silly money.
Doh...
