RB5 WR Sport Ltd Edition
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=130405014944
With reluctance, i have decided to sell my RB5, i have owned it since 22/4/06 and it has had two owners before me, it shows as three but the first registered keeper was the dealer selling the car from new, so was sold as new to the '2nd' owner.
Limited edition, number 009 of 444.
Tax until 30/9/2010
Mot until 13/7/2011
Mileage is 91700 (has increased since photo as still use car on occasions)
The car overall is in very good condition, i have taken as many photos as possible so you can see as much of it prior to viewing. Since owning it i have had car serviced regularly and car has always had everything replaced that it has needed. Major work completed was a full engine rebuild from Subaru which cost in excess of £4500 and replaced under warranty at 63,024 on 13/12/08, this was replaced due to block failure very soon after initial rebuild and the short block part number was changed by subaru, it was not a reflection of being badly treated and i must stress this. Gearbox replaced at 70,704 on 21/5/09 costing £2410, both covered by 3 year / 60000 mile warranty so both still valid for a long while.
If the car was to go wrong within the warranty period then the repairs you will not have to pay for, and they are worth more than the car. Its a safe buy in that sense.
Recent work includes a new coil pack, new magnecor leads, spark plugs, lambda sensor and a maf sensor, costing around £500 in parts alone. The engine number has also been changed on the v5c to match the car.
Parts replaced during my ownership include engine, engine mounts, gearbox, gearbox mount, turbo, power steering pump, idle control valve, piaa spot lamps, speakers, maf sensor, coil pack, ignition leads, spark plugs. This is a big list because i have been very fussy in making sure car is running correctly and performing well.
On every service i have had oil and plugs changed, service book is stamped up and complete.
Interior is in great condition and i will include the recently purchased seat covers, i have pulled these back to show seat condition in photos. Cigarette lighter is unused and i clean the car weekly.
Standard stereo is also included in sale
As stated car is standard (apart from strut brace which was on car when i purchased) and unabused, there isnt much history from first owner but due to replacing lots of parts on the car i do not see this as an issue, any viewing i would welcome you to browse through the folder to see all parts i have bought and work i have had done on the car, as i have lots for it
The car is the WR Sport model and has the upgraded ecu, short shift gear changer, intercooler piping, wr spoiler and exhaust. Certificate is present to verify this is a genuine wr sport model from new, i had this re issued by prodrive as it was missing, so there isnt a date of fitting as they dont record this at prodrive, but they can confirm it is genuine, hence the re-issue of certificate which i had to do through a subaru main dealer. There were only 150 WR Sports from new so this is more sought after than the standard rb5 model
Last main dealer service was at 80330 miles, but has had oil change since then.
Both keys and fobs are with car
All features work on car, electric mirrors, electric windows, air con fully working
The only downside to the car is the rear arches need replacing and if you were to make it mint, the front bumper needs painting. And as per any 10 year old car used as a daily driver, it has a few car park dinks but no major dents. I am being open and honest about this and i have factored this into the sale price already. A few hundred pounds will bring her to fantastic condition and i truly believe one of the best out there. The paintwork is in excellent condition and still is very deep and shiny in colour.
My preference is that the car will be bought by someone who will love it as much as i have, takes good care of it, and keeps it known to the rb5 owners club community.
Viewings are welcomed, If you wish to test drive i require proof of 3rd party extension otherwise you will be a passenger.
The cars performance is the best of any car i have ever owned and i will truly miss it.
Car is always run on V-Power 99 or Tesco 99 fuel.
Insurance group 17 and HPI clear
Any other questions please do not hesistate to ask, if you wish to see more photos, there are lots available.
