Post 1999 Subaru Impreza UK Turbo Prodrive & Private Plate

I am selling my 1999 Subaru Impreza with 106,000 miles. The Colour is Silver. This vehicle has never been smoked in. I have only owned the car since the start of the week but unfortunately when I took it to the rolling road garage today i was informed that the big end had gone.
Scooby prodrive number plate valued at £1200, full service history upto 80,000 by scoobysport and just been service by garage (larkins). brembo grooved discs all round fitted in june 07. new uprated intercooler and alluminum radiator fitted recently. power engineering rolling road prints outs running about 280 bhp. full prodrive kit including eibach uprated suspension kit with bilstein dampers and eibach springs and 17"oz alloy wheels with pirelli p-zero tyres. hks incar digital boost controller (lots of setting). too many performance mods too list. kenwood ice with 6cd autochanger. full roll cage with harness. air con. e/w.e/m airbags. thatcham cat 1 security system. lots of paper work incar speed camera detector (snooper). needs a little bit of tidying to make mint again. looks and sounds great. any questions call me on 07894426876.

With the problem of the Big End I am open to sensible offers, taking into accont that the private plate and roll cage are worth £1000 as well as the other extras I will not let the car go cheap.

Please email me for pictures of the car.

Upload your pics to some webspace, then copy n paste the links into here but put at the end with no spaces.

so it would be:

[i m g] website address of pictures [ / i m g]

but remember, no spaces.

Please dont take this the wrong way mate, even 3200 is a bit expensive.

A rebuild will cost 1500 quid at the very least taking it up to 4700 quid and i've no doubt its a nice car (it is) but it still has 106k on the clock.

I sold my mint classic 6 months ago for 4 grand with full sh and 78k on the clock.

for what its worth my big ends let go and put in a sti block, in the 18 months i had it along with that and other maintanance it stood me at 13 grand, hows about that for losing money

Having re-read your post, best bet (if it were me) is to sell roll cage, plate + other mods on fleabay, go towards engine repair and sell it as a standard (ish) Impreza Turbo 2000

Are you sure that the big end has gone? It might be worth getting a second opinion and/or searching the forum if you haven't to identify the signs of big end failure.
You don't want to ditch your car prematurely.

surely a big end can be sorted by just changing the shell and maybe the rods if necessary
