1996 - WRX STI Type RA
Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type RA
Car was imported in 2005 and I am the second UK owner. When the vehicle was imported the speedo was converted to run on MPH as was the mileage.
Car has usual RA equipment such as Roof Vent, Limited Slip Diff, 5th Injector, Intercooler Spray etc, but also a few extras you wouldn’t normally find such as electric windows, central locking and A/C.
Car is in the main standard, and has only had a few subtle mods - these are a Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust together with a 3" Downpipe - original front section available, Turbo Timer, HKS SSQV Dump Valve (original available also).
Since the car has been mine it has been maintained by an independent Subaru specialist and car was last serviced at 52,000 miles. Current Mileage is 53,500 miles
MOT due to expire 28th October 2007 as will MOT - also October 2007.
In car entertainment is provided by a Kenwood Face Off CD Player - and rear speakers have been installed in the parcel shelf. The car is protected by a Cat 1 alarm system and comes with 2 alarm fobs.

The car is in very good condition.
Engine runs very sweetly - no fluid loss or noises of any kind.
Bodywork is in very good condition too - there are a few stone chips on the front bumper - but nothing noticeable and one tiny chip on the front wing - but this would be very easy to disguise....
All in all a very nice motor.....

very nice ra. if anyone viewing is considering a change of impreza or anyone who is after a classic, do it properly and get an ra!
having gone from a wrx to a wrx type ra, the difference is huge.

@ Chapman81 - the car has been serviced since ive owned it at a local Subaru specialist - ive had 2 services there and no problems on each of my visits. To my knowledge the cambelt hasnt been done.
Tyres are in good condition - 3 of them with 99% tread left - had three of them changed due to leaky valves causing my tyres to deflate and get damaged - the 4th tyre has about 40% life left i would imagine
