Looks a bit dodgy to me! The same advertiser is selling a previously damaged 2005 Sti for £11995 on PistonHeads as well under a different name with the same phone number!

The sti 9 will show up on an HPI check as being stolen recovered which is CAT X, you will never know unless you HPI it.
The 03 black sti is CAT C which is a write off as the cost of repair was more than the car was worth. This will be on the log book so you cant hide it even if you wanted to.

Was looking through the previous post made by morgibear looks like his name is Andy so that prob clears up the 2 cars for sale under same mobile number, the STI 9 is his and the 03 is his mates, Tony.
Whilst browsing i notice morgibear (Andy) was looking for an STI 8 steering wheel, Hub and Strut and alloy.
Putting that evidence together suggests that the STI 9 has had frontal damage resulting in the wheel, hub etc being damaged and the accident has deployed the air bag. A replacment air bag/wheel will be an expensive thing to come accross as it will be saught after for its better cosmetic appearence over the post STI 8 cars. As a result the forester air bag was used.
Obviously only the owners know and i could be complety off the mark, hopfully morgibear will clear it all up.

taken from the above link.....
A Category X Vehicle is a vehicle which has been subject to an insurance claim but which has sustained minimal or nil damage or which may have been repaired in accordance with manufacturers specifications, and therefore categorisation as per the Code of Practice for the Disposal of Motor Vehicle Salvage does not apply.
A Category E Vehicle is a Salvaged Vehicle which is stolen recovered.
A Category D Vehicle is a Salvaged Vehicle which is damaged to the extent that the retail cost of repair to the vehicle does not exceed the retail pre-accident value thereof.

Someone has done a vehicle check and that car is a CAT D. So if CAT E is a stolen recovered vehicle and you have not tried to hide anything then why say on the thread the only damage was to your kitchen window and nothing to the car.
