It is time to sell my Rb5 it has been on ebay and on here before ...it is not dodgey it is my car which i bought last august from KT Green in leeds it has all service history stamped in the book .

It has covered 122000 miles but had a new engine at 98000 miles which is recorded in the service book.
The engine and turbo are still under warranty till 2006
It has just had new front tyres and new front discs and pads.
Cambelt and engine seals done 1 month ago.

It is a WRSport which makes it even more rare than a normal RB5.

Crikey how's about that. I used to own #242 non-prodrive.
A local dealer has one for sale, it has the Prodrive rear spoiler so could be a proper Prodrive and not just had a spoiler fitted, which is up for £13k, thats about all I can tell you about it but hope that helps.

 

i am intrested,but have a VERY RARE escort rs turbo s1 to sell,it is rare in the fact that it is the only red one ever made !!,just incase you know anyone..

I think you'll find that Ford made two in red, and one in black. In fact from memory, I think Princess Diana owned the black one for a time.

Diana`s Black S1 was the only "factory original" S1 other than white. The others were sent back to be resprayed.

 

When I was looking at buying a Series 1 in about 1990, I came accross a red one in fab condition which I really fancied buying - however, unsure as to the colour being standard, I enquired and if IIRC, it was the RS Owners Club who told me that Ford produced two red ones and one black one (the black one went to Princess Di as we know). When I questioned the owner of the red one, he admitted that he had it re-sprayed following some accident damage. Naturally, I walked away, and eneded up buying a Series 2 instead.

The only thing I could find on the internet about it is here (can anyone make it clicky please) but it does seems to back up what I was told 15 years ago!

you are 100 percent correct,1 black for lady di,
2 red ones BUT 1 was the touring car and mine is the road going promo car.
have all the docs to prove if you look in a book called "the works escorts" the car is listed.
what sort of price are you looking for the rb5 ?
