Default Damaged STi8 £8750 - offers! - now with photos

I am considering selling my damaged jdm STi8. I bought it to repair, but will see if there is any interest.

It has heavy o/s a-post damage, it is the blob eye model, December 2002 only done 18k kms. It is fully loaded, diff control, STi Genome centre guages (DEFI style). The front - engine, rads, lights, etc are all OK.

To repair it will need a panelled bodyshell (Grade A have a shell for £2500) glass and airbags, front bumper, o/s rear light, spoiler. All mechanics look OK except for one wishbone. if you have the facilities to do this, would make a cheap car, with the help of forum members, i found a model report for this car £350.

I am looking for £8750 for the complete car. Because its jap, it wont be recorded as damaged, when registered.

Call me on 07865 075919 for more details.

Any pics of the damage? What glass does it need? All or just the drivers and windscreen?

It is pretty hard, but its a good car to re-shell as all the expensive bits are OK, you literally need a panelled shell with some glass, airbags and a few other items. One of these hit on the front would cost a fortune to repair, rads, aircon, engine bits, suspension, lights, etc. I need the money otherwise I would sell my STi7 and repair this one, I reckon if it sold for £8500, this car would be on the road for around £12.5k. As a breaker it would probably return more than £8500, but takes time!

Getting a shell is understandable but its the work that would need doing in order to repair it, frigin scares me

But ure right, the way it looks, all the engine bits n bobs seem un harmed

Years ago I used to do a lot of shell changes on heavy damage Fords and Vauxhalls, if you have a painted shell, all the parts, workshop facilities and tools, you can get the bulk of the work done over a weekend! When I repaired my STi7, I bought another damaged car for parts, we stripped it down to a bare shell in around 8 hrs (that was working outside in the rain!).

You need access to a workshop, cant do this sort of work on your driveway!

If anyone is interested in the car, I will consider offers.

I will consider an sensible offer on this car, will be a shame to break it as it will make a nice car. Also found someone who has a shell from a water damaged STi in blue! - can pass details on, he was looking for £1500.....makes the car that much cheaper!

It made £6100 on ebay, I have someone interested, trying to work out a deal. I would like close to £7500 for it. Give me a call on 07865 075919 if interested.
