Thumbs up WRX STI Version 5 Type R

1998 WRX STI Type R version 5
Cool Grey/black wheels (17”) – Toyo proxies

40,000 miles

MOT until Feb 2005, Taxed

All the usual Type R goodies, Aircon, driver controlled centre diff, water spray.
original head unit with infinity front speakers, Rockford fosgate rears.

Oil service done a few weeks ago – major service done end of last year.
Always run on Optimax and NF

Lots of security

Loads of history and old MOT’s SVA docs etc

Cosmetic Mods :-

Clear indicators and repeaters

Functional Mods :-

Link ECU inc knocklink/lambda link – mapped by BR Developments
Full TSL exhaust system down pipe, decat centres, Group N back box
APS cold air induction kit
APS up rated top mount intercooler
Up rated fuel pump
Eibach springs from TSL + geometry setup
New Brembo brakes up front
PowerStation bump steer modifications
New race spec plug leads by Magnecor
AP Organic clutch

As you can see the mods are fairly sensible basically optimizing induction and exhaust as well as sorting out handling and braking.

Running 296BHP

Looking for £12500 for a quick sale.

That is an absolute bargain for someone. Why so cheap,you could get £2k more for it?

I will get 2k more when I advertise it in Autotrader next week

slight scratch on bonnet and aircon needs regassing (will probably do this next week also)

Was registered at the end of December 1998 and was one of the first MY99 (Version 5) released I guess..

Chris those are RLR's .. and yes they used to be gold, had them refurbed and repainted in black last year.. deffo look cool.

Yes I did - and they did a brilliant job.. the wheels only had a couple of marks on the rims before - but they came up like new
