Default ****breaking SMG Type r*****

Hello, i have a 1999 type r with 33,000 miles running 420hp, modified by Steve Guirey (SMG) with no expense spared, internals easily good for 500hp+ and 9000rpm. It has done 4,000 miles since the complete rebuild.

Unfortunately a conrod has gone through the side of the block and i have managed to get hold of a complete replacement 2.5l setup with GT35 turbo and exhaust system, so the parts below are still for sale. Open to offers

2.33 litre Engine built by Steve Guirey (SMG)
Built from 2 litre closed deck block - relinered and bored to 97mm
  • 2.5 litre cross drilled crank giving 79mm stroke - £200
  • Roger Clarke uprated oil pump with oil catch can/breather system - £250
  • JE pistons - £150 assuming 3 are good
  • Arrow conrods (custom order) (£1000 new) - £300 assuming 3 are good. Arrow should still have the drawings, so able to order just one to exactly the same spec.
  • Fully ported heads with Sti V4 one piece valves and top hat shims, 276 degree duration WRC spec cams with 433 thou (11mm) lift, Vernier cam pulleys - offers around £1,000 as a complete set up assuming no bent valves.
  • ARP head studs and nuts (12mm) - £100
  • HKS front mounted intercooler with re-routed intercooler water spray £500
  • Link fully mappable ECU (mapped for 99 RON Shell V Power)with controller - £400
  • Forge Motorsport VTA dump valve £60
  • Standard Sti V5 Type R Gearbox with DCCD with Redline heavy shockproof in box and R180 rear diff - offers around £1,000
  • Lower front H brace £50
  • Standard Sti carbon fibre front strut brace £50

SPA DG 215B/W oil pressure & fuel pressure guage £100
Subaru 4 Pot front calipers and 2 pot rear calipers £250
Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) wide band guage £100
    Standard Type-r Suspension

Let me know if you're interested in any bits, want a ful spec list, or want to make an offer for the engine as is. I can take photos as required and post/pm them. The car is in Bournemouth at the moment, although i'm often in Maidenhead and can meet people there.

The car was working perfectly up to the fateful day, but i'm not here to rip you off - if anything doesn't work after you buy it, i'll refund the money no problem

thanks for looking

Hello again, thanks for all the messages, looking for about 50% list on each part, been at work all day today, but going to call some people tomorrow to find out how much things are worth that i don't have receipts for.

In the meantime, i've put some prices on the original post of the ones I know.

Please let me know if i'm been realistic on pricing, i don't want to price things out of the market, or underprice!!

Default front end photos

my brother 'borrowed' the car a couple of months ago and ran into a piece of armco. No chassis damage, but had a new slam panel and wing. The bonnet was straightened, but not finished as the engine went pop before i had a chance

Hello, bit of a change of plan. A friend of a friend has an impreza with extensive side damage, but which has a 2.5 block with GT35 turbo, so it looks like i'm transplanting that into my shell, with the exhaust system, ecu etc.

This means the shell, internal plastics are no longer available, i've updated my list with items now sold, other parts still available, just let me know

thank you
