2011 WRX Sti Saloon !! please bring it to the UK!!!

Why can't we have these then?

http://www.subaru.com/auto-show/index.html

the saloon looks awesome, and I'd love to see one in the flesh in th UK.

Anyone kjnow if we're going to get them?

Mikey

It look s better and more distinctive as a saloon, Subaru are mad and i am sure restricting sales as the hatch is not a patch and looks like any other run of the mill euro-box

Yes we are :thumb:

I believe the first demo. cars will be in the dealers in the Autumn and orders can be placed now although you may have to wait awhile for delivery. The flow of cars from Japan is very slow nowadays .

Scooby Wagon Addict! 23 July 2010 12:16 PM

Scooby Roo 23 July 2010 01:13 PM

We're looking to get the WRX [and alledgedly the STi] in late August over here [Adelaide].

Have first shout for a test drive in the STi....looking forward to that.

Mikey Ace 23 July 2010 01:42 PM

really - they're coming to the UK??? niiiice :) my my97 sti3 has been with us for nearly 12 years and needs a new home, so this is excellent news.

It baffles the hell outta me that they didn't give us the saloon from the start, they've been in the US (not in STi trim tho).

maybe ...

Wowee ! It's a shame they are using exactly the same pistons as in the hatch..... :brickwall

You would be mad to buy one - it'll have all the same issues as the hatch engine failure which is probably between 10 -20 % of all Sti's. And thats a lot... :freak3:

L.J.F 23 July 2010 05:38 PM

It looks like a bloody shopping trolley for god sake:eek::brickwall

Oh wait so does my current car:oops::lol1:

Well done Subaru for seeing sense:thumb:

Its actually 6% thats failed in the whole uk. Subaru arnt interested in fixing this

Norman Dog 24 July 2010 07:24 AM

Even the WRX doesn't look too bad with the wide arches. :thumb:

Camoscooby 24 July 2010 09:40 AM

I think it will look awesome and can I say on par with the Evo X??:D

f1_fan 24 July 2010 10:34 AM

Couldn't care less whether they bring it or not. The car is too heavy, too ugly (the front end is a complete dog's dinner) and too far behind the competition to be relevant.

SirFozzalot 24 July 2010 10:59 AM

Side view reminds of an Evo VI.

.......and the old MG ZS :lol1:

topman2180 24 July 2010 01:40 PM

I Still love my blobeye and the hawkeye is my favourite of all time. However I can see the new saloon growing on me over time. ps what no gold wheels?

G-string 24 July 2010 04:53 PM

very nice want to see one in white with black wheels though

happydude303 24 July 2010 05:01 PM

if you ask me subaru are just making there cars worse the classic shape every time and the blob is a goood shape to, thats it for me thou as the bug eye was great from the side and back but looks bad from the front and the hawk eye is growing on me

stilover 24 July 2010 07:22 PM

From side on it almost looks a bit like an Evo 6.

juggers 24 July 2010 07:26 PM

It reminds me of an evo 6 to.

jonny wilkinson 10 August 2010 04:06 PM

This is great news. My missus has been refusing to update her 2002 bug-eye even after 80K miles :freak3: and now there is a chance I can prise it out of her fingers by dangling a 2011 saloon in front of her (neither of us likes the hatch).

I may even get to keep the old one as a track car :D

I belive the new car has a new piston design.

abbott 10 August 2010 06:19 PM

i like it , id definitely be tempted if i could afford one ...

wylie1 10 August 2010 08:12 PM

looks just like a evo X definately better than the hatch but still id rather have a hawkeye all day long

aXeL 10 August 2010 10:06 PM

The new 2011 Impreza with an all new f*cked up ECU (probably) and an extra 200kg of completely superfluous weight - all included in the price!

SUBARU - Because more steel is better(TM)

If I get the urge, I'll just buy the panels to make my blob look like the hawk...

Thats the spirit :D

Jza 02 November 2010 06:21 PM

So it took 2 years of massively reduced sales to make them realise no one wanted a hatchback that had lost its edge over the Gen II car... so they come up with this...

Have to ask... why didnt they just make it like that in the first place???? Hope the guy in charge back in the day of planning the hatchback has commited hari - kari :)

madscoob 02 November 2010 06:39 PM

come on its gomping it looks like a vw bora on steroids
