TMIC Fans?

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried fitting fans to the TMIC to reduce heat soak when in traffic and at low speeds?

Ah yes that was going back some wasnt it lol

yeah, didnt help in the slightest for some reaspn, i have a temp probe in the throttle body to TMIC hose and it didnt alter at all compared to if the fans were there or not.

Thanks for the replies. Sound like a non starter really! I'll shelve that idea then......

water is the best means of reducing intercooler temps but the system has to be a good deal better than the oem spray system which really only wetts the front part of the intercooler.
A system based on a 12 litre spec c watertank which fixes along the back of the rear seats and a custom boom which sprays across the whole intercooler would work well when the car was on the move but not so much when car is stationary or slow moving, that said , when car picks up speed act's drop like a stone. Only good for road as wouldn't be allowed on track or drag strip.
Most couldn't be bothered but if there's an itch that needs scratching, that's what I did but the fact I couldn't use it as intended, on the strip really killed off my enthusiasm.

Aye that's a good shout. For my own mbc system I have a throttle pedal switch that switches to high boost on WOT so I could use that to trigger the intercooler water spray, and with a spec c tank and a bespoke boom that sounds like an ace little project :thumb:
