Interesting, interesting.

Then we might be merely a simulation devised by our future selves? It's interesting that some massive intellects our not dismissing the idea out of hand.

Well, if I had created the simulation - I would have left out the crackpots and conspiracy theorists.

That way, they would never have discovered they were part of a simulation.........

Can someone tweak my simulation settings so that i live in a large house with a great view with a 22b sat in the garage, cheers

Have you ever stood and stared at it, marveled at it's beauty, it's genius? Billions of people just living out their lives, oblivious. Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a perfect human world. Where none suffered. Where everyone would be happy. It was a disaster. No one would accept the program. Entire crops were lost. Some believed that we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world. But I believe that as a species, human beings define their reality through misery and suffering. The perfect world would dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this, the peak of your civilization.

Classic.

Can anyone recall seeing the movie for the first time?

It was the first DVD I ever bought. Was completely mesmerised. And quite apart from the never-seen-before, mind-blowing special effects ["The Gaetaman" FTW :notworthy]...That story!

It's ALL about a ripping yarn, at the end of the day. Something sorely lacking in 90% of films. :(

For me, The Matrix restored much-needed renewed faith in 'The Hollywood Machine'. :notworthy (But then came the inevitable 'milking' sequels - ho hum.)

Oh, and 'Spoonboy'. :lol1: That was his actual end 'credit'!

Me too! - I wish I could re-create that moment......
I went to Cinema that evening completely oblivious to what the film was about - it just a film I'd heard people talking about and thought I'd better go and see it.....
I remember about 1/3rd of the way in actually laughing to myself thinking this is FREAKIN AWESOME!

As you say - it absolutely blew me away - couldn't have put it better myself:thumb:

I'd also like my simulation tweaked.

Similar to the above, huge house, small tarmac circuit out the back, several really expensive cars, and a gorgeous blonde wife with a cracking body who does whatever she's told to do :lol1:

I'd soon get fed up with the same blonde however gorgeous; surely a massive harem would fill the bill better!

Yeah, but imagine 4 or 5 of them complaining about stuff, and women being women, they'd form a pact
