Default AUDI S4 B5 SALOON-EXCELLENT CONDITION/SPEC 557Nm

SOLD

The time has come to move on, I have decided to sell my Audi S4 B5 saloon in rare Santorin Blue.
It is a late November 1998 pre-facelift model.
90% FASH.
5% Specialist.
5% Motorsport specialist.
5 former keepers with the last being a good friend of mine, who only took the car in a px against his BMW E46 M3 Convertible. He had plans to just sell it on until he started enjoying the silent sleeper effect, as these cars have slipped under our radar for all these years!
Within a few weeks after researching them he took a trip to MRC for a Stage 1 which dramatically transformed the car. After a few personal issues he offered the car to me, obviously I jumped at it.
I have owned the car for 13 months now (long for me) and instantly got addicted to improving what is already a great car in 100% total standard form.
For a 15 year old car its ran all its life on stock standard power so only low boost so engine is very strong and healthy.
I instantly changed the exhaust system to a full Milltek with pre-cat deleted and RS4 gutted downpipes, then a trip back to MRC for a map tweek and made a very healthy 337 bhp and 557 Nm (407 ftlb) @ only 2954 rpm. Dougie commented that the torque figure was impressive on otherwise a standard set up and low miles 82k.
*Next was upgrading the standard soggy springs for Eibach lowering/stiffening ones -40mm.
At the same time all the bushes front and rear weather worn or not were replaced with Powerflex polybushes.
2 new CV boot kits fitted.
Upper and lower track control arms replaced.
Gearbox oil renewed with Syntrax.
*Next was a cambelt kit, new water pump, new thermostat with ALL fluids changed.
*Next an AP Formula 6 pot brake conversion, 2 piece with brand new spare set of 330mm AP rotors (biggest possible calipers that will fit behind standard 17” rims). DS 2500 pads. Goodridge stainless hoses. Phaeton Duct kit which works fantastic keeping everything cool. Easy 60-70% of life left.
*Next was B7 rear brake set up.
*Next shortshifter.
*All hoses replaced
*New throttle body boot.
*New lambda sensors.
*New Diverter Valves.
*Next a full set of BC Racing Coilovers.
*Eibach Rear Anti Roll Bar.
*Carnetix Fast Road 4 Wheel Digital Alignment Setup.

In my 13 months of ownership I have done approx 10,000 miles where all the sensible modifications have been undertaken.

Carnetix, a very popular and well respected tuning company based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire- 01664 562592 have carried ALL my work out on the car. They specialize in Audi along with all German and Jap marques. Glen, joint owner will be happy to verify/vouch for the car.
I have just had the tired looking standard alloys re-furbished with a sandblast and powder coated in a vinyl matt all professionally done and do set the car off with its Santorin Blue.

Recently the boot lid, bonnet, front and rear bumpers have been professionally resprayed due to some age related marks, swirls and stone chips as would be expected. Car is Hpi clear with certificate. Also at the same time i had the Audi front grill prepared and painted same black as the wheels.

Underneath undersealed this year.

All paintwork done has bills to prove followed up by a Diamondbright machine polish then detailed, which brought the original showroom Santorin Blue back to life! The S4 looks lovely but there are still the odd incidental tiny scratches which the MOP could not remove but they are honestly hardly noticable.

On the road the car is very well set up and surefooted with the BC coilovers. The power delivery for a Stage 1 is surprisingly quick with endless amounts of mid range grunt (407 ft lb) through the smooth V6 engine sounding amazing through the Milltek system. The Quattro system gives amazing traction on any given style of road or weather.

I have treated this car like a baby and its had anything its needed. Respecting it warming up to correct oil temperature and cooling down before turning engine off. Oil checked regularly. On acceleration there is no smoking, knocks, rattles or bangs and is 100% bone dry underneath.

Hand on heart there are no underlying issues at all and car drives 100% perfect which will be demonstrated on viewing.

SERVICE HISTORY SCHEDULE- VERIFIED/STAMPED

13. 14/03/13 – Carnetix 78,813 miles
14. 30/07/13 – Carnetix 84,212 miles

So to summarize spec above the mentioned modifications.

Audi S4 B5 saloon
98’ model with S4 plate
337bhp/557Nm
Rare Santorin Blue
84,500 miles
2.7 twin turbo
V6 30 valve- 5 valves per cylinder
6-speed gear box, silky smooth, no grates or crunches at all
Bi-xenons
Full heated electric cream leather seats. Very good quality worn leather. Totally umarked inside
Power steering
Electric windows x4
Electric mirrors
Climate control
Air conditioning perfect
Central locking
ABS
1 minor pixelation on dash
MOT Feb 2014
Tax Nov 2013

All the new parts I have had fitted have only been on the car for about 9 months.
All consumables ie discs, pads ect have over 60% of life left.
All documents/history/schedules are available in a comprehensive folder in sequence.

I had plans to upgrade to a K04 conversion but a new direction with a new car has changed my plans. I have a fully re-furbished set of KO4 turbos supplied by Ben from The Turbo Unit in Tamworth with a 12 month warranty (obviously not fitted)
I paid £1100.00 and are for sale either with or without the car for £1000.00. With a few more supporting mods the car will achieve circa 450-480bhp and 650Nm!

With the overall condition, low miles, full service history and very good choice of modifications I am asking £5200.00

Viewing is highly recommended for what is becoming a rare retro classic in all round very good solid condition.

Hi mate, you probably have done already but have you advertised it on certain Audi forums, I used to have a silver one of these until a slight accident, well worth the money. Not sure if I'm allowed to mention other forums on here though.

No different to any other normal road car mate, even your granny could drive it!
Body work is very tidy no rust whatsoever. Few minor very light scratches but not noticeable until your nose is on it tbf.
Got a guy coming to view Saturday so fingers crossed!!
