Long story, but today i bought a Rover 418 diesel.

It was a guy at work who was selling it, sold on ebay for £300 with the understanding that it had to be collected no later than today as the insurance was up today and its parked on the road.
As you'd expect with ebay, the guy couldn't make it.

My mate said he wanted a cheap car, so with the situation as it was and the fella at work facing a problem, i thought my mate would have it.
I gave him £300 and took teh car home so its off road.
Now my mate tells me he's sorted a car! I should have waited to hear from him, but i dont like waiting.

The reason i thought it would be a good buy for my mate, even being a rover, is that it has

Its an N reg old shape, not the bubble shape. 418 SLD Turbo Diesel. Electric front wndows, Electric Sunroof.
Bluey greeny colour.

The guy at work has had it just over a year and never had a problem with it.
Bodywork is ok, few little bumps a scratches and some rust on the osr door.

All in all, a decent cheap run about.

Car is now at my parents in Solihull.

£300, bargain.

Ive taken a couple of pictures but cant find my camera lead. Can pm them if interested.
Tempted to drive it myself for the winter.

 

 

I'll probably send the tax back and scrap this if it's not gone soon.

Heard these are as quick as a Ferrari in the twisties!!

 

Some say faster than a Ferrari....

My mate had it in the end and he's loving it!
Glad it didn't get scrapped.
