Mechanically the FTO is spot on. There are no issues whatsoever. It has been serviced regularly. Car starts first time everytime and there's no strange noises from the engine. Drives/pulls and stops as it should. The gearbox works perfectly in all gears via normal auto-drive or tiptronic selection with no noises/issues.
Being the smaller engined version it is also very economical on fuel but still has plenty of go when needed.
There's no service history documentation as the previous owner lost it. Although, the FTO is so good i've owned it twice; first in 2009 (wife's Xmas pressie) then again from 2011 (Xmas pressie again as she missed it so much and happened to find it for sale again) to current.
In Dec 2009 i do remember it had documentation for 6 monthly servicing since 2006 and a full cambelt at 100k km (Only covered 25k since).
In 2010 it also had brand new front discs and calipers.
From 2011-2012 (2nd ownership) it has only had routine servicing carried out by myself (oil/filter/plugs etc) as its simply been totally reliable and issue free just like in 2009.
For the current MOT it only required front droplinks & ARB links due to perished rubbers (now an MOT failure from Jan '12). Only advisories were the original headlights that have since been replaced.
Bodywork wise the car is in excellent condition. Consummate with being first registered in the UK in 2005. The underneath is virtually rust free and has been recently waxoyled. All brakes & fuel hoses are all good condition with no signs of corrosion. The chassis is excellent with no rot and none likely to appear for sometime. It is absolutely solid in all of the main areas the FTO's are prone to rusting.
Externally it is very straight with no dents/bangs or scratches. There are a few paintwork blemishes here and there but for a 17yr old car they are minimal. Being in satin matt black it does take a bit of maintaining to keep it looking its best. No polishing/cutting required though as this will damage the paint. The best solution is a can of Pledge (or similar) with a dry cloth sprayed/wiped off after normal washing with a good branded car shampoo.
The interior is in excellent condition. All is complete and everything works as it should. There are no electrical issues anywhere. The drivers seat bolster does have a little wear but still better than most.
Also comes with a set of hideous blue flame floor mats (personally i'd bin them but you might like them), spare headlight, Vibe Crossover (wiring/amp/sub wires), Vibe 6.5 speakers & a selection of other component speakers (new/used). Has a set of 6x9's in the parcel shelf & a CD player headunit.
